East West University Sports Club organized the university’s first ever running event ‘EWU 5K RUN’ sponsored by ‘Prime Bank at AFTABNAGAR (Jahurul Islam City) on August 26, 2022. In this colorful event, 200 participants took part. Leaders of different running communities were also present during the race to guide the participants. Ms. Nazneen Sultana, Senior Lecturer, Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, East West University, acted as a race director to the event. The reporting time was fixed at sharp 6.00 am in the morning. Hydration and refreshment drinks had provided to all the participants and those who completed the run got certificates and medals. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place holders of the run from both male and female segments got crests as well. The program was completed at around 8:30 am. The event was organized to inspire the participants, especially the students, to stay fit and fight against “Depression“ and “Obesity“.
